Ordering products without writing
Every day at 09:30, Morten goes onboard either the cruise ship "Color Fantasy" or "Color Magic" to update the range of goods from Toso in the ship’s stores. These products include CDs, DVDs and PC games. Morten has created a Toso 'bestsellers' list so he can quickly find the relevant CDs and DVDs on his handheld unit.
When the new order has been decided, Morten transmits it directly from his handheld mobile unit to Toso’s warehouse, bypassing the need to interpret poor handwriting or phoning anybody at the office. At the same time an order list is printed at the warehouse. With all this happening simultaneously, goods can be retrieved and delivered to the ship within a few hours. This enables Color Line employees to restock the display racks and have all the items in place before the passengers begin boarding the ferry for the afternoon departure. "We don’t have any storage space onboard", says Thomas Ekvoll, store manager onboard Color Fantasy. "More importantly, our customers do not come back the next day if the goods are sold out when they are onboard. So, it’s important that Toso can efficiently deliver the products we need on a daily basis and before we sail."

In addition to ordering goods directly from the field, MobileSale can be used to input other information, regardless of the time or place. Users can check their e-mails, warehouse status, order records and a customer logbook while they are on the move. This means that more and more people enjoy Toso’s efficiency. And more time can be spent with customers, building positive relationships and confidence.
